Remote Learning
Remote Learning
St Peter’s pupils and staff have returned to full-time education following the Covid-19 closures.
Our Remote learning procedures will remain in place for any instance they need to be used.
This might include:
- occasions when school leaders decide that it is not possible for their setting to open safely, or that opening would contradict guidance from local or central government
- occasions when individual pupils, for a limited duration, are unable to physically attend their school but are able to continue learning, for example pupils with an infectious illness
This meets the expectations set out in the DfE guidance ‘Remote Education Support’ found here.
St Peter’s staff and pupils all have access to Microsoft teams
If a child does not have access to a computer/laptop and/or the internet, the school will do all it can to support children and if necessary provide paper packs of learning. Where funding can be accessed, remote devices (eg, laptops) and/or 4G connections will be sought, particularly for disadvantaged children. Parents will be reminded to make the school aware of any barriers to accessing remote learning.
If you have any issues with logging in to any software/websites then please email homework@stpetersnewman.co.uk so that a member of staff can obtain your log in details and support you in logging in.
The Kids Zone also has a range of different resources that can be used at home with your children.
For further information please see our detailed school Remote Learning policy.
