Welcome to our Catholic school where we place Jesus at the center of all we do, in the decisions we make and the way we treat every member of our community. We develop our knowledge and actions of our Catholic Social Teachings in all we do and say. We all believe in our mission statement: ‘Together, One Family, One Community in Christ.’ As a result, we all respect each other and our beliefs. We are a very multi-cultural school and we respect everyone’s individuality but we happily come together as parts of God’s family.
At St. Peter’s we have many wonderful and exciting opportunities to expand and deepen our learning. Our teachers work hard to plan us exciting and engaging lessons where we have fun and learn at the same time. We have a very engaging curriculum that builds each year, we learn how all of our learning links together and we love finding the connections. We also get opportunities every year to go on trips that relate to our curriculum so we can deepen our learning and understanding. After school there is a range of lots of different clubs that you can attend which links to our exciting curriculum. If you need a little extra help, there are boosters before and after school too which are ran by our excellent support staff. We find these really help us within lessons.
At St. Peter’s we get the opportunity to take part in lots of different and exciting external events. Each year we have represented our school at the Young Voices concerts and many sporting events. We take part in Times Tables Rock Stars competitions across the city, and we currently have the top player in the city in our school! In addition to this we work hard to help our local and global community by organising and par-taking in many fundraising events, we feel it is very important to take our role as global citizens and work together to make the world a better place.
All of the staff at St. Peter’s are really supportive and try their hardest to make our learning engaging, effective and fun. They are always friendly, greet us with a smile and are great to talk to. We all feel safe and valued at school and there is always someone to talk to if we need a listening ear. All of the children are very friendly too, we all work hard at St. Peter’s to be kind to each other and respect everybody. We treat each other as we wish to be treated and that helps make St. Peter’s a very special place to be.
Thank you for reading this welcome and showing an interest in our amazing school. We hope reading our letter has given you the urge to come and look around our school and see for yourself what a truly special place it is.
Farhan, Sameera, Violet and Zwahir.
